Go!  Together

Go and see...
...what God is doing through the restorative work of Kids Alive.
...your faith deepen as you bond with team members.
...God work through you to provide encouragement and support to others.

These experiences will impact how you experience God, see the world, and see your value to make a difference.

Through partnerships with local churches, Christian schools, community groups, and faith-based nonprofits, Kids Alive International has equipped and mobilized hundreds of teams and thousands of volunteers to GO! and share the love of Jesus as they use their gifts, abilities, and resources to serve.

What is a Go! Team?

Let’s go!

An opportunity for volunteer teams to share their faith, talents, & abilities at one of Kids Alive International’s sites

GO! TEAMs are short-term, international trips designed to connect volunteer teams with a 1-2 week experience at one of Kids Alive’s sites, which include residential children’s homes, care centers, and schools. We engage organizations in KAI’s Faith Community Network and connect them with opportunities to GO! and demonstrate the love of Jesus where Kids Alive operates programs. We call this a GO! TEAM.

The fees

The cost to participate is based on the country of destination, length of the trip, and ministry projects for the trip.

Depending on factors such as location and length, fees typically range from $950 to $1,300 per person and include accommodations, meals, in-country ground transportation, and the cost of ministry projects. A portion of the fees is used to sustain the country’s ministry. The base fees do not cover airfare, passports, international travel medical insurance, domestic ground transportation, or travel visas (if required).

Frequently asked Questions

01
What countries can I go to?

Kids Alive serves in Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Peru, Lebanon, Kenya, Haiti, and Zambia. We currently are sending Go! Teams to Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Peru, Kenya, and Zambia. Your safety is always our top priority- depending on current conditions, we may suspend trips to particular countries.

02
How much does a Go! Teams cost?

Kids Alive fees can range from $950-$1,300 per person for a week-long trip. This cost does not include airfare or excursion/sightseeing trips.

03
What will the team do & what’s the average team size?

The in-country team host works closely with team leaders during trip preparation to best utilize the team’s gifts with the ministry’s current needs (i.e., sports/arts/educational camps, VBS, medical, dental, construction, host training/seminars, nurture and care for staff).

Team size depends on the country, but the maximum capacity in most countries is 20 team members. GO! TEAMs don’t accept individual travelers, so consider an internship or leading a group from your church.

04
Do we need a passport & visa?

Yes, you will need a current passport that does not expire within six months of the departure date. Our team will inform you of any visa or other entry requirements as these vary and may change.

05
Where will we stay & what will we eat?

You will stay in a safe facility with bathrooms, have space to sleep, and areas to gather as a group.

Our team will make sure your food and water is safe whether you eat at a local restaurant, have food prepared by our staff, or cook as a team.

06
How will we travel once we arrive in the country?

KAI will provide all ministry-related travel once you arrive. Any travel not included in the itinerary will not be covered by KAI.
