Ready for a week of praise? We are excited to share some amazing things happening in each of the Kids Alive countries! We couldn’t do it without support from our generous donors. Thank you for helping Kids Alive make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children, families, and communities around the world.
Dominican Republic: Skilled teams and interns joined us earlier this year, improving campuses like Palo Blanco School.
Peru: Over 60 children and teens participated in enriching workshops and heard the Gospel message.
Haiti: A 12-year-old boy’s behavior, academic success, and faith have transformed with support from our team.
Guatemala: Oasis girls lead weekly devotionals, focusing on God’s compassion, justice, and identity.
Zambia: Our dedicated KAI staff worked tirelessly to reintegrate 17 children in safe, loving homes this year.
Kenya: Trauma-informed training for 75+ teachers has impacted 2,000+ students, and mentorship for 60+ teens is building confidence.
Lebanon: Two boys courageously accepted Christ, and three high school graduates are now pursuing higher education.
We’re grateful for the skilled work teams and passionate summer interns who joined us in the Dominican Republic in 2024! These teams helped improve campuses like Palo Blanco School by building classrooms, organizing book fairs, leading art projects, and engaging in sports ministry. Their encouragement uplifted staff and missionaries alike. Our interns contributed to hosting teams, conducting healthcare research, and sharing impactful stories. This year, we’ve celebrated students coming to faith, baptisms, and Christian marriages—proof of God’s transformative work through AWANA and partner churches. Thank you for making this possible!
1. Fun Vacations at Oasis: Over 60 children and teens participated in enriching workshops and heard the Gospel message. Families also connected with our services, supported by dedicated volunteers who served their community with joy.
2. "Playing We Grow Stronger": This impactful program expanded to reach more teens, equipping them to face challenges and prevent abuse. Schools are eager to partner with us and train teachers to replicate the workshop.
3. Community Justice in Pucallpa: In San José, we hosted workshops and fairs empowering leaders to combat violence and connect residents with vital services.
4. Entrepreneurial Success: Baking workshop participants sold over 320 kilos of turrones, and sewing workshop participants are preparing for Christmas sales. These programs are strengthening families and building skills.
God’s hand is moving in Peru!
1. Emergency Support for Families: Amid severe turmoil, we’re grateful for donations enabling us to provide displaced families with food support and quality education for their children.
2. Worship for All Ages: Despite challenges, we’ve launched Friday midday worship for younger students, starting with kindergarten. Now all children experience the joy of worship weekly!
3. Sandro’s Transformation: Once struggling, Sandro, 12, has flourished with support from our team. His improved behavior, academic success, and faith inspire us all.
God is at work, even in the toughest times.
1. Zoo Adventures on World Day of the Girl Child! Girls and caregivers from Oasis spent a joyful day exploring the zoo, marveling at lions and monkeys, and enjoying moments to just be kids.
2. Leading Devotionals! Every Wednesday, Oasis girls lead “The Care of God” series, focusing on God’s compassion, justice, and identity. These youth-led moments foster worship, prayer, and creativity.
3. Empowering Survivors! The Escuintla Survivor Network chose the name “Comunidad Aves,” symbolizing joy, bravery, and hope. A former Oasis resident now leads devotionals, inspiring others as they rebuild their lives.
1. Tailoring Block Success: Thanks to generous supporters, we built a new tailoring block at Kids Alive Academy in Mongu! Fourteen parents graduated, gaining life-changing skills to support their families.
2. Family Reunification: Our dedicated staff worked tirelessly to reintegrate 17 children into safe, loving homes this year. Each reunited family is a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of healing.
1. Karundas Hope Center: In June 2024, we launched our first Mentorship Program, now serving 60 children every Saturday. With devotions, group activities, and meals, it’s transforming lives spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Guardians report incredible behavioral changes—glory to God!
2. Nairobi Hope Center: Partnering with local churches, we’ve connected 100+ children with Sunday school and VBS programs. Trauma-informed training for 75+ teachers has impacted 2,000+ students, and mentorship for 60+ teens is building confidence.
1. Protection Amidst Conflict: Grateful for the safety of DEA school staff and children, allowing learning and ministry to continue during unrest.
2. New Believers: Two boys courageously accepted Christ, sharing their faith despite opposition. Pray for their strength to remain in their new faith!
3. University Bound: Celebrating three high school graduates pursuing higher education, overcoming significant challenges with resilience.
4. Support for Displaced Women: Our social workers offer care and hope to displaced women taking shelter in schools, offering social, emotional, and spiritual support in difficult circumstances.
